Description
HARIO cold brew tea bottle for refreshing iced tea
Bring a little ceremony to your iced tea with HARIO’s Filter-in Bottle. Made in Japan, this 750 ml glass bottle combines a familiar wine-bottle silhouette with a practical filter concealed inside the pouring spout. The clear body lets the colour of your infusion show through, while the khaki silicone top adds a simple finishing touch.
It is a convenient choice for preparing tea ahead of lunch, setting out drinks for guests or keeping a chilled brew ready in the fridge. Brew and serve in the same vessel, with the tea leaves held back by the filter when you pour.
How the filter works
Loose tea goes directly into the glass body, giving the leaves room to infuse. The removable polypropylene filter fits inside the silicone spout and strains the tea during serving. The separate stopper closes the pouring opening while the tea brews. Remove the stopper to pour, keeping the fitted spout and filter in place.
Preparing your cold brew
- Add 15 g of tea leaves, approximately 5–7 teaspoons, to the bottle.
- Add cold water up to the 750 ml marking.
- Fit the filter securely inside the spout, then attach the spout to the glass with the stopper removed.
- Insert the stopper and refrigerate for 3–6 hours.
- Remove the stopper and pour slowly to serve.
Use tea suitable for cold brewing and follow any specific instructions on its packaging. You can also add lemon, lime or mint to taste. Keep the prepared tea refrigerated and enjoy it promptly.
Caffeine: cold brewing does not make caffeinated tea caffeine-free. The amount depends on the tea and brewing conditions.
Materials and contents
Your bottle includes a heat-resistant glass body, a removable silicone rubber spout and stopper, and a reusable polypropylene filter. Its working capacity is 750 ml. Tea is sold separately.
Cleaning and care
Wash before first use. The bottle is dishwasher safe, or you can wash it with a soft sponge and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scourers, and handle the filter mesh gently. Carry the bottle by its glass body, rather than the silicone top. Do not freeze it with liquid inside.
