Bring tropical flavour to your daily mate ritual with this organic papaya and pineapple yerba mate from Original Mate. Created as a smooth and approachable introduction to flavoured mate, the blend combines fresh green yerba mate with juicy fruit notes and aromatic botanicals.
Papaya and pineapple create a soft tropical sweetness, while natural pineapple flavour enhances the blend’s exotic character. Lemongrass introduces a clean citrus note that keeps the flavour fresh and balanced. Marigold flowers provide an attractive finishing touch and make the loose blend especially colourful.
This is one of the gentler Original Mate blends and is designed to offer a smooth, low-bitterness cup when prepared at the recommended temperature. It can be enjoyed traditionally in a mate cup with a bombilla or brewed like conventional loose-leaf tea using a teapot, tea filter or infuser mug.
The same serving can be infused more than once, allowing the fruit and botanical notes to develop across several cups.
Original Mate develops, blends and packs this infusion at its workshop in Saint-Brieuc, Brittany. The ingredients are certified organic by Ecocert, while 75% of the agricultural ingredients are sourced under the Fair for Life fair-trade standard.
Yerba mate naturally contains caffeine. The product should not be described as caffeine-free or promoted as a bedtime infusion.

Preparation instructions
Traditional preparation with a bombilla:
- Add approximately one tablespoon of the blend to a 300 ml mate cup or mug.
- Pour over hot water at a maximum temperature of 80°C.
- Insert the bombilla and leave to infuse for at least five minutes.
- Enjoy and refill with hot water to infuse the same serving again.
Preparation as loose-leaf tea:
- Add approximately one tablespoon for every 300 ml of water.
- Pour over water heated to no more than 80°C.
- Infuse for at least five minutes.
- Strain and serve. The same leaves can be infused another two or three times.
For a milder drink, use approximately 2–5 g per serving and adjust the quantity according to taste.
