Description

Smoked Kampot Black Pepper PGI is a rare gourmet pepper from the Kampot region of southern Cambodia, an area known for producing some of the world’s most aromatic peppers. This black pepper has protected geographical indication status, making it a premium choice for food lovers, home cooks and anyone who wants to add real depth to everyday dishes.

The peppercorns are harvested at the right stage of ripeness, sorted, washed, blanched and sun-dried before being cold-smoked for several hours using coconut shells and rice husks. This careful process gives the pepper its distinctive balance of floral, resinous, woody and gently smoky notes.

Use it freshly crushed or coarsely ground to preserve its smoky aroma. It is excellent with grilled steak, barbecue dishes, salmon, shrimp, sardines, mackerel, grilled eggplant, tomato salad, scrambled eggs, tofu, burrata, bruschetta, carbonara, cacio e pepe, pizza sauces and rich mushroom sauces. For something more creative, try it with dark chocolate or in cocktails such as Bloody Mary, martini or gin and tonic.

One of the defining qualities of Compagnie Française des Poivres et Epices is its approach to sourcing. The company works directly with plantations and producers and places particular importance on traceability, harvest quality and careful selection.

This approach helps preserve the distinctive aromas and flavours associated with individual varieties and terroirs.

The collection includes everything from classic and rare peppers to chilli peppers, Ceylon cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, aromatic herbs, spice blends, curries and speciality salts.

Quality, traceability and responsible sourcing

Compagnie Française des Poivres et Epices combines its focus on flavour with an environmentally conscious approach.
