Description
Blackberry Tango Black Tea – Fruity Assam Tea with Wild Berries
Blackberry Tango is a lively loose-leaf black tea blend that combines the bold character of Assam black tea with the bright, juicy freshness of wild berries. It is a tea with depth, aroma and colour — perfect for anyone who enjoys classic black tea but wants something more fruity and expressive.
The base of this blend is black tea from Assam and South India, known for its full-bodied flavour and satisfying strength. This rich black tea foundation is softened and lifted by a colourful blend of blackberry leaves, grape, verbena, elderberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, blackcurrant and redcurrant.
The result is a balanced cup with a smooth black tea body, red fruit aroma and a naturally fruity finish. It is intense enough for everyday black tea drinkers, yet fresh and aromatic enough to feel special.
Taste Profile

- Full-bodied Assam black tea
- Juicy blackberry and raspberry notes
- Lightly tangy redcurrant and blackcurrant
- Soft strawberry sweetness
- Aromatic berry freshness
- Smooth, warming finish
It is ideal as a morning or afternoon tea and can also be enjoyed as a fruity iced black tea.
Ingredients
Black Tea Assam, South India black tea 79%, blackberry leaves, natural flavouring, grape, verbena whole, elderberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, blackcurrant and redcurrant. Alveus describes this as a premium blend with ingredients from sustainable cultivation and natural flavourings.
How to Prepare
Use 12–15 g of tea per litre of water. Brew with freshly boiled water at 100°C for 3–5 minutes. For a stronger cup, use slightly more tea rather than brewing too long, as over-brewing black tea can increase bitterness.
Best Served
Blackberry Tango is excellent served hot, especially in the morning or afternoon. It also works beautifully as iced tea: brew it slightly stronger, cool it down, pour over ice and serve with berries or a slice of lemon.
