Description

Pure organic rooibos tea from South Africa

Experience the naturally smooth and comforting flavour of Mabura Organic Rooibos Tea. Rooibos, also known as red bush tea, originates in South Africa’s Cederberg region, where the plant grows in a distinctive hot and dry landscape.

This pure loose leaf infusion contains only organically grown rooibos, with no added flavourings or additional ingredients. The result is a mild, naturally sweet cup with gentle earthy and woody notes that can be enjoyed throughout the day.

Why you will love this organic rooibos tea

  • 100% organic rooibos: Made with pure rooibos tea from controlled organic cultivation.
  • Naturally caffeine-free: A relaxing alternative to black tea, green tea and coffee.
  • Pure and unflavoured: No added flavours, spices or sweeteners.
  • Smooth flavour: Mild, gently sweet and pleasantly rounded without strong bitterness.
  • Hot or iced: Enjoy it as a warming evening infusion or prepare it as refreshing iced tea.
  • Generous 130g quantity: Provides approximately 43 cups when using 3g per serving.
  • Reusable metal tin: Supplied in an attractive clasp-lid container that can be reused for tea, spices or other dry ingredients.

Flavour profile

Mabura Organic Rooibos Tea has a naturally mild and slightly sweet flavour with soft earthy, woody and honey-like notes. It is smooth enough to drink without milk or sugar but can also be served with lemon, honey, milk or a plant-based drink.

How to prepare rooibos tea

  1. Use approximately 3g of loose rooibos tea per 250ml of water.
  2. Heat fresh water to approximately 100°C.
  3. Pour the hot water over the rooibos.
  4. Allow it to steep for approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Strain and enjoy.

Rooibos does not become unpleasantly bitter as quickly as many traditional teas, so you can steep it for slightly longer when you prefer a fuller flavour.

For iced rooibos tea

Use approximately twice the usual quantity of rooibos and steep it in hot water for 5–8 minutes. Strain, allow it to cool and serve over ice. Add fresh orange, lemon, berries or mint for a refreshing caffeine-free drink.

Brand

Mabura

Mabura brings together organic ingredients, creative flavour combinations and a deep respect for nature.

Founded in Austria in 2017, Mabura Naturmanufaktur specialises in high-quality organic foods made without artificial additives. Its range includes aromatic single spices, distinctive spice blends, seasoning salts, BBQ seasonings, teas and other natural specialities.

Natural flavour with an Austrian character

Mabura's approach starts with carefully selected organic ingredients. The brand focuses on natural flavours and recipes designed to make everyday cooking more interesting, whether you are seasoning vegetables, meat and fish, preparing pasta, adding character to soups or experimenting at the barbecue.

Its spice blends combine ingredients and culinary inspiration from around the world, including aromatic herbs, chillies, coriander, paprika and other carefully selected spices. Mabura develops its own recipes with an emphasis on intense flavour and natural ingredients without unnecessary additives.

The collection ranges from versatile everyday seasonings to specialised blends for poultry, steak, vegetables, fish and BBQ dishes, alongside pure herbs and spices and creative seasoned salts.

Organic by philosophy

For Mabura, organic production is a central part of the brand philosophy. The company states that its ingredients come from controlled organic cultivation and that its products are made without artificial additives.

Sustainability also plays an important role. Mabura uses plastic-free packaging and CO₂-neutral shipping through Austrian Post. Its production facility was created by transforming an existing old barn at the foot of Hochosterwitz Castle in Carinthia, rather than constructing a completely new building.

The result is a brand that combines organic ingredients, imaginative recipes and Austrian craftsmanship with a modern approach to responsible food production.
