Description
Discover an aromatic take on green yerba mate with Original Mate Organic Detox Yerba Mate Tea. This organic loose-leaf blend combines green mate with whole anise and fennel seeds, nettle, rosehip, birch leaf and stevia.
Anise and fennel provide a warm, delicately liquorice-like flavour, while nettle, birch leaf and rosehip add fresh herbal and subtly fruity notes. A small amount of stevia rounds out the blend with gentle sweetness.
The green yerba mate is dried without smoke and is blended and packed in Original Mate’s workshop in Saint-Brieuc, France. Certified organic by Ecocert, the recipe contains 52% Fair for Life-controlled fair-trade agricultural ingredients.
Naturally containing caffeine, this blend is especially suitable for a morning or early-afternoon tea ritual. Enjoy it hot, over ice or prepared traditionally in a mate cup with a bombilla.
Preparation
Add approximately one tablespoon of the blend to 300ml of water. Use water at no more than 80°C and allow it to infuse for at least five minutes. The same leaves can be infused two or three times.
For a milder infusion, use approximately 2–5g per serving and adjust the brewing time according to taste.
