Description
Discover a more delicate and aromatic side of yerba mate with this organic floral blend from Original Mate. Green yerba mate is combined with fragrant lavender, soft mallow, rose petals and a colourful mixture of strawberry, raspberry and blueberry.
The fresh, earthy character of green mate provides the foundation, while lavender and natural rose flavour create an elegant floral aroma. Red berries introduce a subtle fruity dimension that rounds out the infusion without added sugar.
The blend can be prepared traditionally in a mate cup with a bombilla or brewed like loose-leaf tea using a teapot, infuser or tea filter. The same serving can be infused more than once, allowing the flavour to develop gently across several cups.
Original Mate develops, blends and packs its infusions at its workshop in Saint-Brieuc, Brittany. The ingredients are certified organic by Ecocert, while 88% of the agricultural ingredients are sourced under the Fair for Life fair-trade standard.

**According to the producer, the natural organic flavour used in the infusion is derived entirely from fruit.
Preparation instructions
Traditional preparation with a bombilla:
- Add approximately one tablespoon of the blend to a 300 ml mate cup or mug.
- Pour over hot water at a maximum temperature of 80°C.
- Insert the bombilla and leave to infuse for at least five minutes.
- Enjoy and refill with hot water to infuse the same serving again.
Preparation as loose-leaf tea:
- Add approximately one tablespoon to an infuser or teapot for every 300 ml of water.
- Add water heated to no more than 80°C.
- Infuse for at least five minutes.
- Strain and serve. The same leaves can be infused another two or three times.
