Description
Ceylon cinnamon, also known as “true cinnamon”, is prized for its elegant aroma, naturally sweet character and softer spice profile compared with stronger cassia cinnamon. These whole cinnamon sticks are ideal for slow infusions, warm drinks, desserts and savoury dishes where you want a refined cinnamon note without overpowering the recipe.
Use Ceylon cinnamon sticks in mulled wine, chai-style tea, fruit compotes, jams, rice pudding, apple pie, custards, cookies and French toast. They also work beautifully in savoury cooking, especially with poultry, pork, duck, rabbit, lamb, rice dishes, carrots, turnips and North African-inspired recipes.
Because the cinnamon is left in whole-stick form, it releases its flavour slowly and naturally during cooking or infusion. Add a stick while simmering, then remove before serving.
