Description
Organic Chives with a Delicate Onion-Like Flavour
Mabura Organic Chives are a simple and versatile way to add a fresh, gently savoury flavour to everyday meals. The chives are finely cut and dried, making them easy to sprinkle directly into sauces, soups, egg dishes, potatoes, vegetables and homemade dips.
The flavour is milder and more delicate than fresh onion, garlic or stronger dried herbs. This makes organic chives particularly useful when you want to add a light onion-like note without overpowering the other ingredients in your dish.
Made with One Organic Ingredient
This product contains only finely cut chives from certified organic farming. There are no spice blends or unnecessary additional ingredients, making it suitable for customers looking for a simple, single-ingredient kitchen herb.
Because dried chives are ready to use straight from the jar or package, they are convenient to keep in the kitchen for quick meals, sauces and finishing touches.
How to Use Mabura Organic Chives
Organic dried chives can be added during cooking or sprinkled over a finished dish. For the freshest flavour and colour, add them near the end of cooking whenever possible.
They work especially well with:
- Boiled, baked and mashed potatoes
- Scrambled eggs, omelettes and egg salads
- Creamy soups and vegetable soups
- Yoghurt, sour cream and cream cheese dips
- Salad dressings and mayonnaise-based sauces
- Pasta and rice dishes
- Roasted or steamed vegetables
- Fish and seafood
- Chicken dishes
- Fresh cheese and cottage cheese
- Homemade herb butter
Easy Chive Yoghurt Dip
Mix one teaspoon of dried chives with approximately 150 grams of natural yoghurt. Add a pinch of salt, black pepper, garlic and a little lemon juice. Leave the dip to rest for five to ten minutes so the dried chives can soften and release their flavour.
Serve the dip with roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, chicken skewers, bread or vegetable sticks.
How Much Should You Use?
Start with approximately half a teaspoon per serving and adjust according to taste. Dried herbs can vary in intensity, so it is better to begin with a smaller amount and add more if needed.
When using the chives in a cold dip or dressing, allow them to rest in the mixture for several minutes before serving. This helps rehydrate the dried pieces and distributes the flavour more evenly.
